Universal Theatre Academy is established on 17th november 1992, initially the academy used to work in a school called Subodh Vidya Mandir along with academics the academy used to operate cultural programmes too. Since October 2015 the academy is actively working in the theatre world. In the last years the academy has done plays like BABY TUM NADAN, SINHASAN KHALI HAI, O MERE SAPNE, & KAYA ME KAYA in the direction of academy director KESHAV GUPTA in an exciting order in jaipur as well as in many other cities of rajasthan, apart from these the academy has successful shows in its kitty of various plays like SUHAGRAAT, MAUT KE SAYE ME, NANI BAI RO MAYRO, (Rajasthani Play) BAJE DHINDHORA URF KHOON KA RANG (Nautanki Genre) , DAYASHANKAR KI DIARY, AFTER DEATH, WEEKEND, GHALMEL PARTY & JANTA PAGAL HO GAYI HAI. In these plays the academy has provided platform for young directors.
The academy has organised theatre festivals also as UTA MARU NATYA FESTIVAL & UTA SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL respectively.In the three days MARU NATYA FESTIVAL the academy has staged plays like KAYA ME KAYA (Hindi), GAVAD (Rajasthani) & TOMAR DAKE (Bengali) . In two days SHORT PLAY FESTIVAL the academy has staged six short plays. The academy director KESHAV GUPTA who is an M.PHIL & M.A. in drama, is constantly working in direction, acting & other aspects of theatre world. To give platform & training to new artists is the primordial motive of the academy. In order to do so the academy is committed to perform in countries & states.
